Merionydd), illegitimate son of Owain "Gwynedd"; however, this cannot be
correct, inasmuch as Llywarch's daughter Eva who married Ednyfed "Vychan" ap
Cynwrig could hardly be born any later than 1150, and probably earlier, which
would make her virtually contemporaneous with the children of Owain "Gwynedd"
rather than with his great-grandchildren as would have to be the case if the
claim as given in "Pedigrees of Anglesey and Carnarvonshire Families" were
true.
