Note:  there is serious question as to whether Gundred (Gundrada) is a
daughter of William the Conqueror or of a "Gerbod" advocate of St. Bertin.  She is claimed by some authorities to be the sister of Gerbod "the Fleming", Earl of Chester.  Conclusive evidence remains to be found.  If the second event should prove to be true, she is probably an older woman than shown above.
