Lord Baron of Dudley who died without issue 21 Dec 1321. Sr. John
alienated the Castle and Manor of Dudley to Hugh le Despencer by
deed 19 Oct 1325, but this grant, extorted from him while in
prison, was cancelled in 1327, on the accesseion of Edward III,
and the property restored."
