    1920 Census say place of birth Germany or Austria. Eula Stanko Boland always said that her mom was from Austria. 1920 Census say emigrated in 1897, 1910 Census say emigrated in 1895. Eula said that her mom went back and forth a lot to Europe and thus the missing children could very well have been born there and no records recorded.

On 9 Sep 1995 Marian Edmunds told me that she does remember hearing that she had a sister who died shortly after birth in Pennsylvania. She does not recall a name. She did not recall a sister born in Croatia.

    The middle name of Stanton was found on some legal records found at her residence by John Boland 17 Feb 1992. It may be that the name Stanton was the true surname in lieu of the name Stanko. Eula Stanko told John Boland that her parents changed their name when they came to the USA. However, Eula never knew the previous name. She thought it may be Stanner.

NOTES:
    1. Marian and Walter Nichols were divorced on 1 august 1939 in Los Angeles.
    2. Marian passed away in the Village Square Nursing Facility, San Marcos, San Diego, California. At her prearranged request, her remains were cremated and shipped to Michael m. Boland, Chesterfield, Missouri for burial.
