                   NOTE:
    John WATERS, the pioneer of the Western Shore, was domiciled on West River at a date earlier than June 16, 1676, for on that day "Water's Adventure" and "The forks" were surveyed for him. A Quaker by persuasion after 1678. He is the Waters progenitor from whom all of the names in Anne Arundel gentry spring.
