NOTE: John WATERS, the pioneer of the Western Shore, was domiciled on West River at a date earlier than June 16, 1676, for on that day "Water's Adventure" and "The forks" were surveyed for him. A Quaker by persuasion after 1678. He is the Waters progenitor from whom all of the names in Anne Arundel gentry spring.
BIRTH: Birth date also recorded as 19 Feb 1668. NOTE: Elizabeth was a Quaker, but her husband was not, at marriage. Since their children were born and recorded in the West River meeting books, he must have converted to Quakerism at their marriage.
