Nicholas Hamner was a patriot who signed the Oath of Allegiance of Albemarle County, where, in 1703, he was born.
From Hamner Heritage: "Nicholas died, without a will, before February 22, 1794. A copy of the appraisal of his estate give evidence that he was a planter." A copy of the appraisal is on page 5-6 of Hamner Heritage by Geneal Hamner Black and Mary Clark Ryan. It is take from Will Book 3, page 220- Albemarle County, Virginia Records.

William Hamner (1730-1785) was ensign in the 4th company, 1st battalion, 47th regiment, Virginia Line. He died in Albemarle County, VA.
From Hamner Heritage: "William and Elizabeth disposed of their many acres of land and their slaves to their children by deeds of gift and by William's will which was written December 25, 1787 and probated in the Albemarle Court in July, 1788." The transcribed will is found on page 9 of Hamner Heritage by Geneal Hamner Black and Mary Clark Ryan. It is found in book 3, page 40 of Albemarle county Records.
The will for James Hamner is transcribed and found on page 444 of Hamner Heritage by Geneal Hamner Black and Mary Clark Ryan.
He married Agnes Tompkins Abt 1725 at of Virginia . Agnes Tompkins was born at Virginia Abt 1708 .
