This Indenture made the second day of September Anno Domini
one thousand eight hundred and five between Benjamin Holden
& Ann, his wife, late Ann Lambert, William Davis and Hannah
his wife, late Hannah Lambert Robert Parks and Susina his
wife late Susina Lambert, John Lambert, Amos Lambert and Sarah his wife Josias Lambert
& Aaron Lambert (which said Ann, Hannah, Susina, John, Amos, Josias & Aaron are the chil-
dren, heirs & representatives of Jonathan Lambert deceased) All of the County of Harri-
son and State of Virginia of the one part and William Lambert, the remaining child heir
& legal representative of the said Jonathan Lambert deceased of the same place of the other part

WITNESSETH that they the said Benjamin, Ann, William, Hannah, Robert,
Susina, John, Amos, Sarah, Josias and Aaron, for and in consideration of the sum of one
hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bar-
gained, granted and sold & by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff and
confirm unto the said William Lambert his heirs and assigns forever all their respective
rights, Tittles & interests in and to the tract of land hereinafter described & to which 
a la which they claim respectively undivided portions as the heirs and legal representa-
tives of the said Jonathan Lambert deceased Situate lying and being in the 
County of Harrison and State of Virginia on both sides of the Brushy Fork of Elk Creek
and bounded as followeth To-Wit: Begining at three white oaks Caleb Stoule corner thence
South 210 poles crossing said fork is a poplar & 74 E 160 poles to the Lines 269
poles by Craigheads line to a poplar thence North to a line of Cale Steu is and along
the line to the begining containing three hundred acres to have and to hold the said
tract of land and its appurtenances unto the said William Lambert and his heirs for-
ever and they the said Benjamin, Ann, William, Hannah, Robert, Susina, John, Amos, 
Sarah, Josias, & Aaron for themselves their heirs. Do covenant that they will forever warrant and defend the said tract of land unto the said William Lambert his heirs and assigns from themselves their heirs & assigns & from all persons laying any lawfull claim thereto under them or either of them. In witness whereof they have hereunto set their hands and seals the day & year above written.


At a Court held for the County of Harrison on the 2d 
day of September 1805 This Indenture of bargain and
sale was presented in Court and acknowledged by
William Davis & Hannah, his wife, John Lambert, Amos

WITNESSETH that they the said AMOS LAMBERT AND SARAH HIS WIFE for and in considertion of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said William Newlin a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County and state aforesaid on Booths Creek adjoiningGabriel Allin, Matthias Winters and others and bounded as followeth, To wit, Begining at a maple ... tract of land unto William Newlin his heirs and assigns forever and they the said AMOS LAMBERT AND SARAH HIS WIFE does covenant that they will forever warrant and defend the aforesaid tract of land unto William Newlin his heirs and assigns forever free from the claim or claims of them the said AMOS LAMBERT AND SARAH HIS WIFE and theri heirs and from all and every person or persons claiming title thereto. My fourth g g f, Jonathan Lambert, had a daughter, believed to be named
Hannah, who married Willliam? Holden. Jonathandied in Harrison Co. about
1804-1805. Estate was probated in 1805. Most of his sons came to Clark,
Greene, or Miami Co. ,OH about 1810. From there several, including my 3rd g
gf and spouse, Rev. Amos and Sarah Albin Lambert settled in Dinsmore Twp.
Shelby Co.,OH. Their offspring, including my 2nd g gf and spouse, Jonathan
Lambert 2nd and Ann Robison settled near Lewistown, Logan Co. OH. Their
daughter, Margaret Lambert, married Jenens/Jennings Long wgo was born
somewhere in VA about 1832. Thier daughter, Elanora "Ella" was my
grandmother and married Thomas W. Rhodes. If any of these are of interest
