Notes:
I remember spending some of my summers at Aunt Nancy & Uncle Charlie's home in Palo Cedro, California. There were so good to us kids and we enjoyed working (it was actually play to us) on their ranch, milking the cows, feeding the chickens, playing with our cousins. It was one big happy family, and a time to learn about life and ourselves and values and personalities and family love.
   Eleanor Law Johnson....

Quote from Sandra Garrison booklet (unpublished) on the Garrison Family, copy in my possession.

"Uncle Charlie once drove a tractor through a raging fire to save some people who were trapped inside. He suffered severe burns all over his body."

"He was built like Santa Claus, with a booming voice and great belly laugh."

"One day he pulled his red Ranchero to the side of the road and died of a heart attack." He always said he wanted to die in his beloved truck and somehow he got his wish.."
