Flora Ann Barnhill, b. near Findlay, O., Nov. 14, 1853; d. Apr. 14, 1903; m.June 27, 1872, Rev. Pearson B. Holden, b. in Williams Co., O, May 4, 1842; d.at Albuequerque, N. Mex. He was a minister of the Christian Union Church. Three children.  (Errors in this book: m Pearson B. Holden, son of the Rev. Pearson B. Holden;
his father was the minister of the Christian Union Church, but Flora's husband was not a minister.  Birth, marriage and death dates are correct for both of  them. The marriage took place in Hancock Co, OH.)

DIVORCE      (age 34)
The divorce decree stated that for at least three years Pearson had not provided Flora and the three children, ages 14, 12 and 10 with the necessites of life such as food, medicine and clothing.  His where-abouts were unknown at
the time of the divorce.  A letter of summons was sent to Georgia, but it was returned unopened.  Flora was forced to depend on the charity of friends.

WILL
In the Name of God, Amen.  I, Flora A. Bennett of Chicago in the County of Cook and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and trasitory life, do therefore make, ordain,
publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament: 
First, I order and direct that my Executor hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be. 
Second, After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Wellington Bennett, my one-half (1/2) interest in the lot two story store and flat building situated at No. 2265 W.
Harrison St. Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and at his death my said one-half (1/2) interest in same is to go my dearly beloved children to wit: Mrs. S Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva N. Hunter and William R. Holden and each to share and share alike.
Third, I give devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Wellington Bennett all of my personal Property except one Uprigh Piano "Adam Achaaf" and that I give devise and bequeath to my beloved son William R. Holden, and my bed clothes I give to my dearly beloved children to wit: Mrs. S. Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva Hunter, and William R. Holden, and each to share and share alike.
Fourth  I give devise and bequeath to my beloved children, to wit: Mrs. S. Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva Hunter and William R. Holden, my lot situated at Gross Dale Cook County Illinois and each to share and share alike.
