Sorry, this doesn't seem to tie into your Charles but maybe back further on the line there's a tie in if
from Germany.

9-26-90 Family records...interview with Theodore T. Law (my father) were he stated that "Marvel Barnhouser was adopted by Genova Law, and her husband, Charley Boss, when Marvel was about six years old. Marvel had three daughters by Leverett Taff. One of Marvel's daughters was in an automobile accident and her husband was killed. It left Marvel's daughter in a wheel chair. The daughter had two children. They lived in the Oakland, California area. Due to the trama of the accident, Marvel's mind was affected and she was in a hospital or institution until her death in the early 1980's."
