(Research):also buried here is his grandson Levi William Snow who scantily bundeled against the elements when driven from their home died on the banks of the Mississippi. To leave with the Saints from Nauvoo they sold their land for an old bed quilt and a small ox.
"I shall never forget the day, when I bade them all goodbye for the last time. They were going to find Zion. Our little Sarah Marie was just a year old when their company came by that fateful July 1837.
The message took a long time to arrive. But when it came it brought news that my mother and three of my brothers had died of sickness that fell upon them in the wilderness to which they had gone. All three left children and wives alone. And our mother She had left with such hope and joy. I suppose that Zion was not such a wonderful place after all."
