vocation shoemaker I Imigrated from Hatley,Quebec,Canada On Jul 20 1837 they left Canada and traveled to Twelve Mile Grove,Ill. 3 years later to Nauvoo. He worked on temple construction P Lived in Nauvoo 6 years Warrington 38 1 acre on rd to Carthage. Leased land from Bishop Edward Hunter. Lumberman by trade as well as a carpenter, cooper, and shoemaker. May 23 1846 Crossed Mississippi for the West, spent the winter on the DesMoinesRiver enduring sickness,food shortages,and other hardships along the way. A yr later arriving at Council Pt Neb. After staying 3 years in May 1850 they departed for SLC as part of 50 wagonsMilo Andrus Co arriving 29 1850 and settled in Centerville north of SLC. Later selling property they moved to Parowan in Apr 1853.Fought Indians in Parowan.

He married Hannah Leavitt 18 Mar 1824 at Hatley, Stanstead, Quebec, Canada . Hannah Leavitt was born at Walpole, Cheshire, New Hampshire 26 Dec 1805 daughter of Jeremiah Leavitt and Sarah Shannon .
