Henry had purchased a plantation on Powhaten of 418 acres called "Midway".Laterhe purchased the "The Red Lane Tavern" and 280 acres next to him which he eventually conveyed to his son-in-law D.C.Jennings. He also purchased other businesses with partners. At his death his large estate included 15 slaves and several pages of inventory that was auctioned and many items purchased by his family.
He married Rachel Bailey 25 Oct 1783 at Chesterfield, Virginia . Rachel Bailey was born at Chesterfield, Virginia 1763 daughter of Benjamin Bailey and Sarah .
