HISTORY: Died of TB contacted while serving in the 5th KY Calvary where he was a buglar during the Civil War. He also went AWOL once to visit his wife. The family farm was taken over by carpet baggers and Sarah, her parents and 3 children moved to Daviess Co Missouri. Four brothers also killed in Civil War. Pension says birth 1841 and is incorrect. May be one in war record listed Co D 2nd Ky Calvary-private confederate.

History: Killed by rolling rock at age of 12 but not in census of 1870 in KY with widowed mother and 3 children at home of her parents.
