Notes:
Frank's mother died shortly after his first birthday. He was given to his
Aunt Ethel Angeline Oakey Osterlind (his mother's sister) to raise as her own.

He was raised with my grandmother Ethel Lucile Osterlind. It was not until
Frank went into the army that Ethel Angeline told Frank and Ethel Lucile
that they were not brother and sister, but really cousins. This was a severe
blow to both Frank and Ethel. They remained close throughout their lives. I
remember going to "Uncle Frank's" funeral in San Francisco, Calfifornia.

Frank served in the United States Army. He enlisted June 23, 1943 and was discharged October 19, 1944. His unit served in the New Guinea Campaign where he was wounded.
The spelling of Frank's middle name has not been verified. I have found it
listed as Martin, Morton, and most recently Mortan.
                 signed, Julie Ann Burdick Moffat
