There was a John Dameron, christened 18 Dec 1798 in Inverness, Scotland, who emigrated from Scotland, arriving in Philadelphia aboard the "Lydia" 28 Aug 1818.  This John Dameron has been paired with Elizabeth Boyd, and her birth date has therefore been estimated at about 1802, their marriage date estimated about 1823.  However, John Dameron and Elizabeth Boyd are shown in most records as having children as early as 1801.
