Richard WADE

                   Notes:
RICHARD WADE: the younger surviving son of Robert Wade, inherited from his father the home plantation, "Friendship," after the death of his mother, Elizabeth (Sprigg) Wade. RICHARD left no inventory or settlement of his estate; but his death may be placed between February 6, 1738 and March 14, 1738, as he made a deed of gift dated February 6, 1738, of a negro girl, Beck, age 8 years to be delivered to his daughter at age of 18, said deed being recorded March 14, 1738. His children being only five years and nineteen months of age respectively, it was necessary to appoint a guardian. William Eilbeck, who had married a sister of Elizabeth (Edgar) Wade, was named guardian. The children were named in the wills of their uncles Zachary Wade, John Edgar, and Wm. Eilbeck.
