WADE, ROBERT, age 60, 26 Aug. 1767. brother of Zephaniah WADE, son of Robert WADE and nephew of William STONE; CHLR P#3 1766-1767 59:654.

This Robert Wade, Sr. was left Stoney Harbour by his father, about Feb 3 1713. He is called "Sr." because he was older than his cousin, Robert, Jr.

Power of Attorney, recorded at the request of Robert Wade Sr. I, John Skinner of Whitehaven in South Britain in the County of Cumberland, have constituted my friend, Robert Wade Sr of PG, planter, to be my true and lawful atty, to recover all debts, rents, money, & tobacco now or in future due to me, and to sell, lease, or rent a lot of land in the Town of Bladensburgh on the south side of the Eastern Branch of Potomac River. Signed Jun 28, 1744 -John Skinner. Wit - John Tolson, Zacha Wade Jr. Ack. in PG before PG JPs Jno Hawkins Jr and Luke Marbury on Jul 25, 1745 by Zachariah Wade and John Tolson, who made oath that they saw the within named John Skinner sign, seal, and deliver the afd power of atty. Recorded Dec 6, 1745.

I don't know to whom this will belongs, but I think it was Robert Sr's son, Robert.

Velitta Wade --daughter and Cordalya Wade --daughter -to have all that part or parcel of a tract of land called "Stoney Harbour" beginning for the said parcel at bounded gum and running thence south southeast to a little run that runs between testator's present dwelling plantation and the plantation whereon Ruth Jenkins now lives and with the said run to the main run called Tinker's Run then up with the said run thence with a straight line to the beginning -Vellita to have Negro man "Sam" and 'A of a Negro lad called "Harry" -Velitta to have 6 ewes and a mare called "Snip", 3 cows and yearlings 2 beds and furn., 6 chairs, 1 square pine table, 1 blue chest with drawers inside -Cordalya to have Negro man "Will" and the other'', of Negro lad "Harry" -Cordalya to have mare called "Charlotte" 2 beds and furn., 6 cane chairs, 1 oak oval table and 1 large white chest with iron rings -remainder of the estate to be divided between them -named executrixes of the will
