\In 1708, her child was charged to Major Joseph Smith in whose houseshe had been a servant.One LDS Family Group Sheet shows her as having married,as her first husband, Major Joseph Smith. With the information noted above,I've declined to enter the marriage because I have no proof it everhappened and also have a representation that Major Smith was less than forthrightin his relationship with Deborah. This is the second John, Junior in this generation with these parents.That's what the record reflected though the use of the term junior was not appropriate in the usual anglo-saxon naming system.(JFN)
