Descendant of Henry Field, Col. John Field, and John Hardin. [p.355] Daughter of John Hardin Field (1812-69) and Frances Ann Prevines (1823-93), his 2nd wife. Granddaughter of Curtis Field (1781-1863) and Rosannah Hardin (1781-1865), his wife, m. 1811. Gr-granddaughter of John Field, Jr. (1752-1832), and Diana Field (1752-1833), his wife; John Hardin and Jane Davis, his wife. Gr-gr-granddaughter of John Field and Ann Rogers Clark, his wife; Henry Field and Mary James, his wife. Henry Field (1735-87) was a member of the convention of Williamsburg, 1775-76, which declared the independence of the colonies and framed the constitution of Virginia. He died in Culpeper County, Va. Also No. 70962. John Field (1720-74) was killed at the battle of Point Pleasant while commanding Culpeper County troops. He was born in Culpeper, Va. John Hardin (1757-1822) served as private in Capt. Edwin Cobb's company, Col. Edwin Mitchell's regiment, at the Lexington Alarm. View Full Context
