Johannes VAN METER
1 CAUS pneumonia 178 acres of the Johannes Van Metre, Sr. estate, Pipe Meadow, was conveyed to William Burns, husband of Joanna Van Metre, by Johannes Van Metre, Jr. on June 21, 1759 (this conveyance did not bear the endorsement of Johannes Van Metre, Jr.'s wife). This land was located at the mouth of Craver's Run. After disposing of his Maryland property, Johannes Van Metre, Jr. moved to Frederick county (now Berkeley county), Virginia, settling on the bank of the Opequon, east of present day Martinsburg, West Virginia.
