Obituary, Henry County Local, p. 1, Friday, December 17, 1948:age 87, president of Farmers Deposit Bank, Eminence, for the last eighteen (18) years, died early Wednesday morning, December 15, 1948 at the Shelbyville Hospital where he had been a patient for the last three weeks; had been ill for the last four years, having never recovered from a fall in which he had a broken leg; prior to being president of the Farmers Deposit Bank, had been the cashier of the Farmers and Drovers Bank in Eminence, became president when the Farmers and Drovers Bank, and the Deposit Bank consolidated in 1930; had been ruling elder of the Eminence Presbyterian Church for fifty (50) years; services on Friday, December 17, 1948 with burial in the Eminence Cemetery; survivors, daughters, Mrs. Jesse LaMaster and Mrs. Steiner Smith, both of Louisville, and son, Rev. Cecil VanMeter Crabb, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Columbia, TN.
