Stanfield Corbin PINCKARD
Prominent businessman in Germantown, KY, had a large furniture manufacture company and tannery, also bought and shipped tobacco; at one time was very wealthy, but through security debts, lost a large portion of his fortune; one of most popular and best known men in this portion of Kentucky; very generous supporter of the Christian Church, of which he was a faithful and consistent member. Presumably parents are buried in same cemetery, but only tombstones legible in old part of Cemetery are those of William and A. Pinckard. Middle initial may be "L."
Listed in 1850 Census as a physician, age 26, living in a hotel in Augusta. Attended medical school at the University of Louisville, 1849-50.
