At time of his death, was operating two coal yards in Lexington. Was kindly, courteous businessman and a devoted father. Was member of St. Paul Catholic Church; buried in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky. Obituary, Lexington Herald, 4 Septenber 1913, p.12.
