According to Otto Hieb, all of Johann Adam's children were born in Neudorf.The names of the children were supplied by Otto Hieb and verified by other sources. The births of the children of the second wife are in the Glueckstal records.The marriage date is from the Glueckstal records.  Johann Adam's birth date is given by the Otto Hieb chart as 1793; his death date as 1873.  The Glueckstal records indicate a lifetime of 68y,3m,22d.  Katherine Reuter's maiden name was supplied by Greg Dokter.  Verified by Glueckstal records.
Another source had his birth date at 16 Sep 1792.

The Glueckstal records indicate that a Johann Adam Hieb and Magdalena Kirschenmann were parents of Johann Jacob b 6 Apr 1834. It is known from two family sources that Adam had a son Jacob by his first wife in 1834.  RL 32 (Neudorf) lists a Christian Kirschenmann, with a daughter Magdalena who was 19 years old in 1816.

I found the following Hieb's in the Ellis Island records on the ship Haven from Bremen, Germa ny on 8 Mar 1895:
410 Balthasar Hieb Age 72     (abt 1823) ticket # 628 (this could be B. Hieb b. 1822 m. E Tre fz?)
13 May 1874 he and his family arrived in Baltimore on the vessel SS Hermann which embarked from Bremen, Germany.

Emigrated in 1895 from Neudorf, Glueckstal, Ukraine, Russia to America
with 4 children.  Homesteaded 13 miles north of Hosmer, South Dakota. Member of Reformed Church. See Stumpp, RL 218, p.712.  This family is also listed in the Glueckstal records.

                   13 May 1874 arrived in Baltimore on the SS Hermann which embarked from Bremen, Germany.  Along with the Hieb family were several ralated families including Kirschenmann, Sattler and Leer.  Most of this group settled near Tripp, SD, although some eventualy ended up near Hosmer. After this group many other groups came to the US between 1874-1910.
