GMVjr's memories:   No one story, but a collage:  generous, caring, ambitious for self, family, company; trademark bow tie, Browning notebook; trips to Maysville, spending the night; front yard golf shots, grandchildren retrieve; playboy calendars; naps in the cold room; Boys' Club; $1 annual fee; watching trains come into Maysville; going to the Pulley works on Saturday or Sunday; going to the factory on work days and JNB speaking to every worker; coming home from downtown Maysville and having to "push" up the big hill
Edgemont Rd pool; relay races; walking home with only a towel on; playing baseball with him as the all time pitcher; vacations in Florida, 97 S Washington and the Cabana on Lido Key; paying grandchildren to stay in bed; golf lessons; Culver letters; paying grandchildren for grades; visits to Culver and Episcopal HS; lecture on evils of ski resorts and skiers; struggle with his stokes; "Rolling with the Punch" despite set backs: high school expulsion, USNA, death of sons.
