His will was probated in Frebrary 1831
Another record shows he was buried in Mt Zion Cemetery, Madison, Fairfield,
Mary Ann Hedges married her third cousin-Mathias Hedges SR.

In the name of God Amen. I, Mathias Hedges of the County of Fairfield and
State of Ohio considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of
sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my Last Will and
Testament in manner and form following (that is to say), First after all my
debts and funeral expenses are paid, I give and bequeath to each of my sons
Levi, Moses, John, Samuel, George, Hiram and Steward ibe bed and beding and a
cow, and all the remainer of my property real and personal I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Ann during her life, and after her death to be equally divided among all my children, namely, Nancy, Joseph, Levi, Josiah, Peter, Moses, John, Hiram, George, Samuel and Steward. But if my wife should again marry then and in that case she is only to have the one third of my property during her life, and after her death to be divided as above mentioned.
I consitute and appoint my sons Moses and John my executors of this my last will and testament revoking all others and declaring this to be my last will and testament. March 19th 1826

The State of Ohio Fairfield County At a special Court of Common Pleas held
at Lancaster in and for said county called the 19th day of February 1831 -----
most of this is not readable ---- but it says that John AUGUSTUS and Isaac DERN appeared to swear that the will was that of Matthias HEDGES and they were witnesses to the will.
