Presumed to be the child - age 7 - on the ship manifest. (Roney, James., "Roosa Notes", The Record, October 1938, p. 307) A baptism for a NEELKE ALERTS is found in Herwijnen on 5 Nov 1655, where Arien Huijbertse and Neelken Ariens de Jongh are found as witnesses. On closer examination of this record the mother is recorded as Wijlken. (Transcribed by Engel Roza) In the spring of 1660 she would have been 4 years of age.
