I'm sure of Floyds name and Myrtle. He
is buried in Everygreen cemetery beside Myrtle. My Father (also
deceased) spoke of my Grandfather (Floyd) of at one time serving as Waverly's
Marshall or deputy marshall in the 40's. He also said Floyd was retired
or worked for the railroad but I don't remember the name of the
railroad. I was born in 1954 and I think I was 3/5 yo when he Floyd passed. My
understanding is that Floyd was in a "nursing" home which was located
on Walnut Street in Waverly. I know the building still exist but has
been turned into apartments. Its located at the south end of the old
walnut schools property but across walnut street.
Also Floyd was in the 42nd Infantry Div. during WWI. His picture was
/is displayed in Waverly old courthouse (located next to the old jail).
Not for sure of his exact unit but he was inducted through Camp Sherman,
Ohio.
My Grandfather owned property at 115 Ford Ave. This is where my Father
was born (Robert Leo Campbell) and ironically died in the same house.
Not for sure of the years Floyd owned the house but I couldn't find any
trace of tax records.
