Omi DE LA GRANGE
He emigrated toAlbany in 1665. He was a trader and master tailor who owned several lots in Albany and land in the towns of New Scotland and Guilderland. With Johannes Symonse Veeder, he purchased the Van Baal Patent. After his death, a legal maneuver caused the family to lose the land, perhaps to the Van Rensselaer family. The case was settled in 1775. In 1722/3, Omie gave to his "3 loving sons", Omy Jr., Isaac, and Jacobus, half interest in his sawmill. He died at age 106
