Duncan is in his grave, after life's fitful fever, he sleeps well.

He was murdered by Macbeth.  Killing one's predecessor was the
accepted method of succession.  Duncan was killed in battle
against MacBeth and MacBeth was killed in batle against Malcom.
Duncan the son of Crinan ruled six years.
