Crinan, Abbot of Dunkeld and Bethoc, daughter of Malcolm, the son ofKenneth,
reigned six years.
Duncan is in his grave, after life's fitful fever, he sleeps well.
Nor steel, nor poison, malice domestic, foreign levy, Nothing cantouch him
further.

accepted method of succession.  Duncan was killed in battle
against MacBeth and MacBeth was killed in batle against Malcom.
Duncan the son of Crinan ruled six years.
