1641 he was located in New Amsterdam 1645 he was one of the patentees of Flushing, Long Island (October 6, 1645) 1646 he bought John Ruckman's plantation in Gravesend (November 11, 1646) 1650 he sold half his farm in Gravesend to Thomas Southard, who had married Anna, daughter of Anthony Jansen Van Salee. 1659 he bought a farm in Gravesend from Randel Huet (may be Hulet) 1674 the Applegates left Gravesend, Long Island Also spelled Appelgate 1 _TITLE Notes
Quoting from an article on page 80, THE COLONIAL, December 1915; "Bartholomew Applegate withdrew from Long Island about 1674, and settled in that par of Monmouth County known later as Dover Township. John died without issue, so Daniel is the progenitor of the Ocean County lines (and many others as well). 1 _TITLE Notes
Court minutes of New Amsterdam Vol 4, p 85. 1670 he was still at Fairfield, Connecticut. 1675 he had a 15 acre lot on the 'neck' in Gravesend assigned to him 1677 he had a lot on Guisebert's Island assigned to him 1696 Avis, his wife of Fairfield, Connecticut, as his attorney, sold land in Gravesend to Joseph Goulding 1697 he was still in Fairfield 1704 he made his will, giving his estate to his wife Avis and to his brother Thomas and his children. 1 _TITLE Notes
