William was made a Freeman in Massachusetts, 04 MAR 1632/33. Deputyfor Newton to the General Assembly, MAY 1632, MAY 1634, MAR 1634-5, MAR 1635-6,SEP 1636, MAY 1637, SEP 1637, MAR 1637-8. Chosen Lieutenant for Newton March 1636-7, one of the Founders of theAncient and Honorable Artillery Company and had other evidences of the publicfavor bestowed on him. Removed to Hartford 1639. His home lot was aboutwhere the Union Depot is presently. He was Deputy in AUG and SEP 1639.
