Henry E. Shipman, 94, of Oldfield, died Feb. 4 in his home following a three-week illness. Services for Mr. Shipman were held Feb. 7 at the Adams Funeral Chapel, Ozark, with the Rev. Dennis Swift officiating. Burial was in Sparta Cemetery. Born June 10, 1894 to Jim and Katherine Johnson Shipman, Mr. Shipman was a lifelong resident of the Oldfield and Sparta area. He was a farmer and also owned and operated the Shipman Grocery in Oldfield for 32 years. He was married April 18, 1915 to Hazel Richardson, who preceded him in death in 1977. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Lorene and Dale Wallace, Oldfield; a brother-in-law, Lee Richardson and his wife, Dorothy, Sparta; two grandsons, Jerry Wallace and his wife, Dorothy, Springfield, and Jack Wallace and his wife, Linda, Oldfield; four great-grandchildren, Lane and Kelly Wallace, Oldfield, Rachelle Wallace, Springfield, and Marcella Kulp and her husband, Tom, Jefferson City; three great- great-grandchildren, Joshua, Gabriel and Noel Kulp, Jefferson City; and several nieces and nephews.	1  _TITLE OBIT
