The Reverend John was one of the leaders of the Mary and John group. He was
their Pastor from the time they left England until his death. Afterthe death
of his associate, the Reverend John MAVERICK, in 1637, Reverend WARHAMserved
alone, going with the advance group into Connecticut. There, he helpedto
found the town of Windsor. Later in 1639, the Reverend Ephraim HUITjoined the
group.
Reverend WARHAM's first wife, Cecelia HATCHE and his son Samuel, camewith him
in 1630. She died at Dorchester in 1634. Samuel died in 1637. Norecord has
been found (at that writing) of a marriage or children of SamuelWARHAM, and
apparently there are no descendents bearing the name WARHAM.
