                   Amelia Eliza Pope (9) is the first child a daughter of Rush Loomis
Pope (8) and Claribel Charlotte Nordeen Pope.
Her first years of education was at the Post Corners School and then
after moving to Waupaca, Wisconsin attending the Lind Center Schools.
After graduation from high school she attended the StateTeachers College
at Stevens Point, Wisconsin, graduating with a teachers deg ree in 1903.
After graduation she taught school in Grand Rapids, now known as
Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
Amelia Eliza (9) Pope married her second cousin Donald Irving (9)
Pope (born December 15, 1875 in Oak Creek Webster County, Nebraska the
son of Arthur Alvin Pope (8) and Laura J. King Pope) on Septembe r 15,
1904 at Lind, Waupaca County, Wisconsin.  From this marriage there were
two children.
1.)   Robert Gordon (10) Pope born June 16, 1905 in Waupaca,
Wisconsin
2.)   Harold Price (10) Pope born October 15, 1906 in Waupaca,
W isconsin
Donald died on June 24, 1918 in Omaha, Nebraska.

February 25, 1885 in Skara, Sweden son of Johann a and Elizabeth
Sutherland) on March 11, 1922 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
After h ermarriage to Gustaf, she lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin son.
In 1934 she move d toFreemont, Wisconsin where her husband operates a
blacksmith and welding shopand she is working on the History of the
Pioneer Popes.
From 1907 to 19 18 she taught elementary school in Waupaca,
Wisconsin.  In 1918 after her hus bands' death she became charge person
for the War Camp Community House at Fis her'sIsland, New York.  From
1919-1920 she went back to the County Normal Sc hoolat Gays Mills,
Wisconsin to teach.  The following years worked as a libr arianin the
Edward Bain School at Kenosha, Wisconsin.  In 1921 the summer of , she
attended the Library School at the University of Wisconsin, Madison,
Wisconsin, receiving her librarian license.  June 1934 she retired from
teach ing, moving to Crystal Lake, Wisconsin; where she lived with her
sons for thr ee years.
Amelia became a member of the Easter Star for several years, of St.
MarksEpiscopal Church in Waupaca. After her retirement from teaching she
b ecame anavid gardener, being a member of the Waupaca and Kenosha Garden
Club s.
