                   Effie Thomas, ggg gdau notes that this information is "provisional" upon the identity of her father, possible Thomas Ramsden, also married to an Ester.
May have been unmarried.  Birth date in Family Group Records of Effie M. Thomas is 24 Oct 1779?

Genealogist David E. Gardner:  "The Burials from 1812 to 1816 were requested, but the volumes for this period were no found, being missing.  We had hped to trace ESTHER RAMSDALE in the burials and so secure her age, for we have no approximate birth year for her.

"Apparently ESTHER RAMSDALE had at least three children, and all out of wedlock."

Genealogist James R. Cunningham of the British Mission:  "Her christening as Ester Ramsdale has not been found in all the parishes covered for her christening.  In going through the extracts, you will note that occasionally the name Ramsden is adulterated to Ramsdell and the adulterated again to Ramsdale.   In view of this, there is a possibility that Esther [was] Christened at Hindley Lanc. in 1779 is the ancestor, but we shall have to take time . . . to prove or disprove this connection.

"We can also check to see if Ester Ramsden of Hinkley ever married.  If she died before our Esther's children were born, that rules her out."
