(Research):(Filed with Daughters of the American Revolution, by Ann Frisby, Fitzhugh Chapter, DAR) "About the year 1750, a man by the name of Pierre TREMBLE with his three children built a home on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. These three children, two boys aged 12 and 14, and a girl aged 10years, were stolen from him by men employed by the Hudson Bay Fur Company, whose line of trade was then carried on upon the great lakes and rivers in large birch-bark canoes. These children were left at Detroit, then a trading post of said company, where they grew up and settled. After years of search they were finally located by their father, who offered them every inducement to return with him to France. Two of these children had then married and the boys had located large tracts of land upon what is now known as Conner's Creek, Grosse Pointe Twp, Wayne county, Michigan. The father, who owned a large estate in France, disappointed in inducing his children to return with him, went back to France and was never heard from. These children were: Ganore, Tremble; never married Louis Michel Tremble; m. Cecilia YAX _____ Tremble; m. Mr. RIVARD
