«/b»Services Today for Mrs. Katie Worthington
Mrs. Katie Warner Worthington 86 died Monday at 3:00 PM at the home of her daughter in Nephi. Services for Mrs. Worthington will be conducted today (Thursday) at 1 PM at the First-Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Vinton G. Steiner of the Nephi First Ward in charge. Friends may call at the ward chapel lounge room until time of services today.
Mrs. Worthington was born in Nephi 11 July 1879 a daughter of William H. and Elizabeth Andrews Warner. She was married to Oscar Worthington 3 October 1903 at the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mr. Worthington died 12 March 1912. Mrs. Worthington has been an active member of the LDS church throughout her life and was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. To support her family following the death of her husband, Mrs. Worthington was employed at various Nephi stores. She worked for King's Store, for Charles Foote & Sons, Nephi Mercantile Company and in later years at Allen's Cash Store. A son and a daughter preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Joseph R. (Erma) Greenhalgh of Nephi, five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister and a brother; Mrs. Joseph Worthington and Francis (Frank) Warner, both of Nephi. Burial at the Vine Bluff Cemetery will be directed by Anderson Funeral Home of Nephi.
