«/b»Our beloved mother and grandmother, Myrle Jones, passed away peacefully into the waiting arms of her husband on June 21, 2010. She was born to Eugene Blackett and Margaret Adams Blackett May 8, 1918 in Eureka, Utah.
She was educated in Eureka and graduated from the University of Utah and the LDS Hospital nursing program as a registered nurse in 1939.
She married Bryce Heber Jones August 31, 1940 in Eureka and they were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple.
She worked for various doctors, the old Payson Hospital, and later retired as the head nurse in labor and delivery at Mountain View Hospital. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She enjoyed golfing and traveling with her husband, and they were members of The Tumble Weeds Chapter of the Good Sams Club. She was also a member of the Junior Cultus Club. Her greatest joy was loving, caring for and spending time her family.
Myrle and Bryce were blessed with two sons, Hal Bryce Jones and Russell Heber Jones. They now have fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren, who adore "Grandma Great". She left us with a legacy of unselfishness, patience, fortitude and enduring love. She was the epitome of grace and strength. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters : Deon, Dorothy, Margaret, and Jeanne. Myrle is survived by her two sons, Hal (Ila) of Payson, and Russell (Betsy) of Edmond, Oklahoma, her sisters-in-law Anna Jean Bufton and Norelle Daley, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We would like to thank family members, friends, and those at Alpine Hospice who helped our mother during her illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Payson 15th Ward Chapel, 650 West 800 South, Payson, Utah, where friends and family may call at a viewing Friday June 25, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to funeral services. Burial will be at the Santaquin City Cemetery.
