«/b»Richard lived and farmed at Earl's Croome, Worcestershire, where his ancestors had lived since ca 1425.  He purchased lands in Croome Manor in 1536 when King Henry closed some monasteries and sold their estates to "suitable" persons.  Douglas Kenelm Winslow states that this is documented by Church registers, including that of Severn Stoke, parish deeds and manorial records.  Richard's will states that his youngest son, Thomas, moved to Kerswellk in the parish of Kempsey.  Under the Tudors, descendants of Richard flourished, according to D.G.                    Kenelm Winslow of Kempsey,m England,m died, 1607, in the parish of St. Andrew, Worcester, England; married Catherine.  His estates were "Clerkenleap" and "Newport's Place"  His will, which was dated 14 April 1607, was prove 9 Nov of the same year, and is till to be seen in Worcester.

«/b»Kenelm Winslow born in Worcester City, Worcestershire, England - died 14 April 1607 in Kempsey, Worcestershire, England.  There were other children besides Edward according to Kenelm's will.  Kenelm's purchase in 1559 of Sir Richard Newport's estate, called Newport Place, Kempsey, Worcestershire, added to an older estate called "Clerkenleap." It is told that he sold the Kerswell farm that he inherited from his father, Thomas, when he moved to Worcester City.
