Hun var enke etter Ulrich I av Weimar, markgreve av Krain og Istrien da hun giftet seg med Magnus av Sachsen.Magnus og Sophia hadde to døtre:  Eilika som giftet seg med Otto den Rike greve av Ballenstedt (han ble  hertug av Sachsen i 1112).
