Faust Was early convert to Church, member of Second Quorum of Seventy in Nauvoo. Driven from Nauvoo in September 1846. Lost wife Maria Davis Pond and nine children crossing plains. Became an outstanding colonizer in Utah. Became the senior president of the 35th Quorum of Seventy. "He was a fine, honorable, hard-working man, both as a farmer and as a merchant. (Daughter) Frances (Maria Russell Pond Huff) always said he was a good father, providing well for them, that they always had as good as, if not better than, others at that time. They lived in Salt Lake City (Garfield) farming and raising cattle, then moved to Spanish Fork, Utah. They farmed and helped build the community there until April 1861 when they were called to settle Richmond in Cache County. They helped build the fort and built the first frame house in Richmond. They farmed there for years. Stillman was active in the early business development of Richmond. Was sealed later to Stillman Pond 8 Feb 1849 along with daughter Frances Maria who was adopted by and sealed to Pond same date. Some records state birthplace to be Lair Promise, Cayuga, New York. AFN:19PK-66 shows birthplace to be Sempronius, (Lair Promise) Cayuga, New York and baptism date to be 30 Sep 1838/29. Sempronius is the original name of what is now called Moravia. Came to Utah Sept 1847 in John Taylor Company.
