Joseph TRUMBLE

                   Ref: Early Settlers of Rowley, Ma and The Hiistory of Ancient Wethersfield:  "It was the widow, Hannah, of Joseph Trumble, not the daughter, who married John Strong as shown by the following extract from the Rowley Church record, "Hannah Strong sometime the wife of Joseph Trumbl, and daughter to Br Smith now wife of Goodm Strong dismissed to the Church..at Winsor Nov 1 1687."  The Wethersfield reference shows children born through 1708 making Hannah a mother at age 61.  Also Hannah, the dau of Hugh Smith is 18 years older that John Strong, while Hannah Trumble, her daughter is 8 years younger than John Strong.  However, Hannah, the daughter would have been only 13 years old in 1686, the time that John Strong married "a" Hannah Trumble.  Although strange, I have left the record as given in the Early Settlers of Rowley- that the Hannah which married John Strong of Windsor was Hannah Smith, the widow of Joseph Trumble..........Bla 06/09/02
