                   BIRTH: Per notes in the Ancestry.com World Tree Project, William Couch was born in about 1695 in Kittery, Maine.  Son of Joseph and Joan (Dearing/Deering) Couch.

MARRIAGE: The Vital Records of Newbury, MA have two marriages for William Couch.  Each woman is named Elizabeth.  The birth records in the Vital Records of Newbury referenced shows only the father's name or the mother as "Elizabeth."  We have to assume that Elizabeth Richardson died some time after the birth of Mary and William Couch remarried before the birth of Sarah.
