                   OTHER: The Humboldt County Death Abstracts Book (1873-1925) has a Carrie M. Miller , wife of Shirley M. Rumrill who died 6 Nov 1889 in Ferndale.  While the names match up fairly well, the middle initial of the husband is M, not W, and her age is given at 31 years in 1889, making her birth year 1857.  This is 15 years before Shirley Wilton/William Rumrill was born........Bla 09/11/02

Futher: The marriage record of Shirley W. Rumrill was found in the Humboldt Marriage records and the maiden name of his wife is Miller.  In spite of the age differences and the difference in the middle initials, this would appear to be the right Carrie, except that the 1889 death date is before any of her children are born............Bla 09/11/02

More: The cemetery inscription for the Carrie Rumrill that died 6 Nov 1889 (LTR 902) shows that she was born in New York 22 Nov 1857.

Finally:  From Obituaries of Humbolt County, 1854-1899, pg. 365, it states that the Carrie that died on 16 Nov 1889 was the wife of George Rumrill. Reference is the Ferndale Enterprise Newspaper.

                   DEATH: It appears as if Raymond Runrill was visiting in Alameda County when he died as the SSDI shows his residence as Fortuna.  It futher appears that whomever completed the informatin for his California death certificate was not fully informed as they gave his birth place as Washington state.
