RANDLE MAINWARING

Randle Mainwaring of Over Peover, England was a direct descendant of Ranulphus, one of the companions in-arms of the conqueror who governed fifteen lordships in that county, including Puero (now Peover) and was the founder of the family of Mainwaring in Cheshire. Randle married Margery, daughter of Hugh Venables, Baron of Kinderton and widow of Richard Buckley and left issue with several daughters and three sons. Children: John, William, Randle, Elizabeth, Cecily, Joan, Ellen, Agnes and Margaret.
William married Margaret, sister and heir of Geoffrey Warren of Ightfield, and was ancestor of the Mainwarings of Ightfield County, Salop.
