       "10 yearly rent to be paid out of my farm at Stapenhill Co., Derby to be paid by Edward Blunt of Burton Co., Stafford, Esq. during the term of lease thereof made unto me and Robert Abell my late deceased brother by Robert Abell, Esq. our Father bearing date the first of July 1 Edward IV (1547) etc."
       Among others he mentions nephew Walter Royle.

       In the name of God Amen.  I, George Abell of Newborough, Co. Stafford, Esquire sick in body &c.---I give to Ellen my wife all my plate silver, &c.---except such as came from Nether Seale, Co. Leicester, and 10 yearly rent to be paid out of my farm at Stapenhill, Co. Derby, to be paid by Richard Blunt of Burton Co. Stafford, esq. during the term of a lease thereof made unto me & Robert Abell my late deceased brother by Robert Abell Esq, our Father bearing date the first of July, I Edward VI (1547) for and in discharge of a bond made by me and Robert Abell of Thicknall, Co. Derby; deceased, unto Thomas Honninges of Frauncis Whitington, gent. bearing date of 9 May, 10 Elizabeth (1568.)
