description of family.  Born being a twin
with his sister Elizabeth, and being the sixth child.  His father removed to
Billercia when he was about three years old.  He served in the garrison house at
Chelmsford in King Philip's War.  They and other family were the first and only
ones to feel the vengeful warth of the Indians in their first attach upon
Billerica on 1 Aug 1692, and severly indeed did they suffer.  Zechariah Shed's
family by his first wife, Mrs. Ann (     ) Bray, then consisted of five
children, of whom Hannah age thriteen, the oldest, and Agnes a child of two
years, the youngest, were slain; none were ever captive.  Zechariah Shed
married three times, lived during his last twenty years in Chelmsford, Mass.
where he died about June 1735.  His will dated 2 May 1735 was lodged 24 July
of the same year (Middlesex County Probate Records, File 20238).

                   REFERENCE: SHED, Frank E., 1921, Daniel Shed Genealogy; page 56, she had six
children and the Indians in their first raid on Billerica, 1 Aug
1692, killed the wife Ann (age about 36) and the eldest and youngest child,
Hannah age thirteen and Agnes age two; none were taken captive. Their six
